Orphan Street Children and Child Beggars of India - Photos
Daily, I see many orphan street children who are openly humiliated and tortured. They face rage of public every day which often assault them by pushing, slapping and kicking. Even after facing such inhumane treatment these innocent children of God neither complain nor cry. I think they have mastered a secret technique to swallow any harsh trauma by always smiling and eagerly waiting for a beautiful future life...

Our main motto of this short visit was to experience the real beauty of country side India. The nature was shining in its full glory, and atmosphere was singing a pleasant melodious song. We felt very close to mother nature. It was a great over whelming experience for us. Thanks to Indian Monsoon.
Kalyan City Flood Photos, Heavy Rain 26 July 05 - Floods Pictures
Remembering Black Tuesday of 26th July 2005 ↓
On early morning of Tuesday 25th July 2005, I went to Ghatkopar at my aunt's house. After routine personal discussion, I luckily escaped Ghatkopar at 11:30 A.M and reached my residence (in Kalyan) around 1:00 o'clock in the noon. It was later after two hours it started raining heavily and soon worst natural tragedy shocked entire Western Maharashtra. Kalyan City was also hammered too hard by heavy rains as never before in its history.
My Mom (she works in Mantralaya) and Dad (his office is at Nariman Point) were not as lucky as me. They were stuck in their offices for nearly two days without proper food, electricity and sleep. On Wednesday 27th July 2005 they somehow arrived home but were completely exhausted, extremely depressed and frustrated.
Soon my mom hugged me hard and started crying. In my entire life, I never saw her in that excruciating pain. After having a proper sleep of six hours she felt relaxed and her worst nightmare was all over.
It was not only mine family who was affected but every single house in Kalyan City had the same story. In this worst natural disaster, many innocent people died, animals were traumatized and million dollars property was damaged. Most including local Government bodies seemed helpless in this tragic situation. Those who ran to save their lives when returned were shocked to see their damaged houses. I felt immensely bad to see people repairing and cleaning their houses in silence but with tears in their eyes.
Kalyan Railway Station Video - A Night Video of Railway Station
Video Of Kalyan Station Was Shot During Night.
Last night while coming home from work, I managed to record another Kalyan City Video. I started recording this video when I was exiting Kalyan Railway Station's premise. During walking, I shot this video continuously with my Canon Digicam. In this late night video, you can witness the active crowd outside Kalyan Railway Station and traffic jam near Shivaji Chowk. 2nd video.

KDMC Bus Ride From Kalyan Station To Shivaji Chowk - Video
KDMC Bus Ride - Kalyan Station To Shivaji Chowk.
Yesterday I boarded KDMC's Ringroute Bus to reach Khadakpada Chowk (Circle) from Kalyan Station (West). While sitting on the rear left seat of the bus, I managed to shoot my first Kalyan City Video for KCL Blog. Watch this video to witness the present chaotic situation outside Kalyan Station and my bus ride up to Shivaji Chowk. Find out how the bus travels from the narrow and congested street now fully encroached by hawkers. This video is a good example of... "What most Kalyan (West) residents go through on the daily basis?". Kalyan Station's traffic is getting worst day by day. Whom to blame? India's exploding population or lack of demanding organised infrastructure.

Durgadi Fort also called as Durgadi Killa was constructed during Shivaji's Era in honour of hindu deity Mata Durga.

Gandhare Bridge Kalyan Photos - Pictures of Gandhari Bridge
1. Photo Gallery & Description of Gandhare Bridge
Gandhare Bridge (also spelled as Gandhari Bridge) is located on the western outskirts of Kalyan City and build over river Ulhas. Gandhare Bridge connects Kalyan West to Gandhare Village which is locate on the opposite side of Ulhas Bhatsa Creek. Gandhare Bridge is only passage by which Kalyan connects to Mumbai Agra Road or NH3 (National Highway Number 3). Gandhare road which starts from Kalyan West passes through Bapgaon and Devrung villages and finally connects NH3 at Padghe check post. While going to and coming from Nashik I often use Kalyan - Padghe - Nashik route and vice versa. To use Gandhare Bridge Road you have to pay a small toll of minimum Rs.15/- for a private car.
If you get free time from your busy schedule try visiting Gandhare Bridge very early morning during sunrise. The scenic beauty of surrounding area will surely mesmerise you. The beauty of Ulhas River, fresh orange sky, flying birds and coolness of early morning will make a place in your heart. Gandhare Brige is also a favourite jogging spot of Kalyan residents living near it.

Interior Designer Carpenter Kalyan Dombivli - Arvind Mistry
Arvind Mistry - A Talented Professional Interior Designer And Carpenter in Kalyan, Dombivli, Thane
On a daily basis, I was too tired to see my partially broken furniture and fainting colours of bedroom walls. So on 1st June 2008, I took a wiser decision to fully renovate my ugly looking bedroom. My budget was pretty limited with just Rs.1,50,000 in my hands but expectations were great. So I consulted some reputed Interior Decorators from Kalyan and Dombivali but none were ready to work on such a low budget. I was quite disappointed since I failed miserably to either hire or convince even a single professional interior designer. Further I avoided dealing with some semi-skilled persons as there was a huge risk of poor quality of work from their side and I don't wanted to waste my hard earned money. However I didn't gave up and kept searching and convincing some other professionals until luckly I found one talented and economically affordable guy named 'Arvind Mistry' from Dombivali.
Arvind Mistry Shows His Carpentry And Interior Designing, Decorating Skills At My Kalyan City Flat.
Luckly I got cellphone number of Arvindji and managed to fix a personal meeting at my house. On Sunday early morning Arvindji arrived on time and soon we started discussing my home makeover plans. While showing him my bedroom I said I except a quality eye-catching work from him which fits within my prescribed budget of Rs 1,50,000/- (Approximately $3000 US Dollars).
Arvind Mistry accepted this deal and said "Sir! Don't worry, I'll turn your den into a 5 star beauty." Quite happily soon I repiled, "Thank You! Arvindji for accepting this deal.".
After a week Arvind Mistry soon started working and within a period of 2 months he completely transformed the look of my bedroom. He kept his words and I was very well satisfied by his quality work.
You better judge the skills of this talented Carpenter cum Interior Designer by watching pictures of my newly renovated bedroom of my Kalyan City Flat.
It gives me immense pleasure to share these pictures with you all.

2. Godrej Hill - A Posh Residential Area In Kalyan ↓
As most people say, today Godrej Hill is Kalyan City's no.1 posh residential colony. Yes! It even beats Rambag Area, which was once considered as number one. What makes Godrej Hill stand out crowd is the very basic fact that it resides in arms of mother nature and give its residents a peace of mind. Godrej Hill's environment is very elegant and has always mesmerised my inner senses specially during my evening walks. Here i've always enjoyed hanging out with my friends and watching lonely beautiful sunset sky.

Beautiful Garden of Godrej Hill which is also a short-cut to reach hill's top without road. I call it 'layered garden' since it is crafted from a decending hill side and its hardly plain. Many grandpa avoid visitng this garden as he dislikes climbing stairs. But still I everyday ask him to give a try.
